Bryony Roberts Studio has created a collection of hanging shapes that are designed to connect with human bodies. The puzzle-like pieces, which make up the Tailored exhibition at pinkcomma gallery, fit snugly around a person’s shoulders, chest, and hips giving them a form of intimacy not usually designed within furniture or architecture.
Each wrapped piece is of a different shape and size, just like human bodies, and they’re tailored to different people. However, the abstract pieces invite a sense of playfulness and an invitation to try them out, encouraging people to find their own way of interacting with them.
Tailored is on display through October 21st, 2016 at the pinkcomma gallery in Boston, Massachusetts.
