RESIDE is an exclusive collection of one, two and three bedroom homes with a coveted Westside Vancouver address. With some of Vancouver’s best parks and amenities close by, this is a well-established neighbourhood. RESIDE will be home to 33 concrete homes and 2 floors of parking. RESIDE is situated near shopping, parks, top-ranked schools, entertainment and dining. Langara Golf Course and Winona Park are within walking distance for you to enjoy Vancouver’s great outdoors. Vancouver International Airport is less than 10 minutes away when you board the Canada Line at Marine Drive Station.

Since inception, they have given the keys to homeowners to more than 10,000 new homes and helped dreams become reality. Marcon has developed some notable residences over the years, such as the first high-rise in Canada to achieve LEED certification. Building to these standards helps to future-proof your home, as well as allowing you to breathe easy from the first day you move in.

Fall-Inspired Products Giving Us All the Feels from Society6

Fall-Inspired Products Giving Us All the Feels from Society6

Now that fall is finally here, I’m completely embracing the chillier season with everything pumpkin spice flavored, copper toned, and foliage covered. While fall in Southern California doesn’t feel quite the same as northern California, I’m going to go ahead and pretend the leaves are changing colors and the temperatures are getting chillier. I’ve even already dug out all my sweaters and planned an apple picking trip.

These new Society6 products are bringing on all the fall feels that get me excited during the end of the year:

Autumn forest comforter by A.Vogler

Autumn Leaves floor pillow by Cat Coquillette

– blason – throw blanket by Magdalla Del Fresto

In an ongoing effort to support independent artists from around the world, Design Milk is proud to partner with Society6 to offer The Design Milk Dairy, a special collection of Society6 artists’ work curated by Design Milk and our readers. Podcast 120: Investing in Out-of-State Rental Properties with Lane Kawaoka

Lane Kawaoka is my guest on this week’s episode of the InvestFourMore Real Estate Podcast. Lane is a full-time engineer but also loves to invest in real estate. Lane has always worked on the west coast or Hawaii, where it is really hard to find cash-flowing rental properties. He has had to invest out-of-state to find deals that made sense to him. On this show, we talk about how he first got involved in real estate and how he both bought houses from turn-key companies and  on his own. We also talk about what his current goals and how he

The 10 Best Tom Cruise Movies

While my wife can’t stand Tom Cruise, I’m a big fan–even though he’s had a few more misses of late, he is still one of the most reliable actors working in Hollywood. With his new film American Made hitting theaters this week, here are the 10 best movies of his career (according to me)–several other highly acclaimed films just missed the list.

Kvadrat Presents My Canvas at London Design Festival 2017

Kvadrat Presents My Canvas at London Design Festival 2017

For the third year, Danish textile brand Kvadrat presented an exhibition that brought together works by 19 up-and-coming and established designers from around the world. My Canvas explores the use of a Kvadrat favorite – Canvas – an upholstery textile created by Italian master colorist Giulio Ridolfo. The fabric is known for its “shimmering color nuances, delicate contrasts and elegant structure” and with a new color palette referencing the landscapes of Skagen, Denmark, the designers were set free to design pieces with it. The finished designs were presented at this year’s London Design Festival at Somerset House, the perfect backdrop for the colorful exhibition.

The My Canvas exhibition was curated by Constance Rubini, Hans Meier-Aichen, Jeffrey Bernett, Yves Marbrier, and Njusja de Gier, who selected designers including: Zeitguised (Germany), BCXSY (The Netherlands), Maria Jeglinska (Poland), Felipe Ribon (France), Christien Meindertsma (The Netherlands), Judith Seng (Germany), YOY (Japan), Moritz Schmid (Switzerland), Cheng-Tsung Feng (Taiwan), Max Lipsey (The Netherlands), GamFratesi (Denmark), Mimi Jung (USA), Chen Williams (USA), Jonathan Muecke (USA), Teruhiro Yanagihara (Japan), Kate Chung Design (China), Studio Stabil (Germany), and Butternutten AG (Germany).

From designer and curator Jeffrey Bernett:

In this sometimes-chaotic moment, we look to people who can lead culture to make sense of competing points of view, and to show us a way – or ways – forward. The Canvas project, as a whole, displays kaleidoscopic creativity, reflecting the diversity of the group based on cultural vision. It is a testament to what happens when you present talent with a provocative opportunity, a blank canvas.

When Should you Sell Your Rental Property?

Rental properties can be a great investment when they bring in cash flow and are bought below market value. I bought 16 rental properties from the end of 2010 to the middle of 2015. I stopped buying rentals in my market, because prices increased so much that it became very tough to cash flow. I bought my properties well below market value and prices in my area increased tremendously (Colorado). I put a lot of thought into whether I should sell the properties, keep them, or refinance them. I decided to sell a couple of properties, refinance a few more

Wardrobe Snacks: A Project Inspired by Diners Lacking a Table

Wardrobe Snacks: A Project Inspired by Diners Lacking a Table

Maybe it’s because we are just wrapping up NY Fashion Week… or because we are snack enthusiasts here at Pinch Food Design… but when we stumbled upon the collaboration between the San Francisco-based duo Michelle Maguire and Kelsey McClellan we LOST OUR MINDS!

Wardrobe Snacks was inspired by diners lacking the luxury of being seated at a table: Michelle’s stepdad who rests his sandwich on his thigh (hell with a plate!) in between bites while he blasts an action movie on his TV; a commuter cramped up on a crowded bus retrieving an item from a bag or pocket; a lunch-breaker on a park bench eating from her lap. They’re informal — perhaps even a bit awkward — spaces as far as eating is concerned, yet the diner always appears to be comfortable and perfectly satisfied with his chosen snack, almost zen-like.
